Our Story

Salty Property Group Ltd. was founded in 2022 by Managing Director Tristan Salt. Holding a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick, Tristan began his career as a structural engineer for a local authority before progressing to a leadership role at a global firm operating in a niche sector of the construction industry.

After managing extensions on his own homes and closely tracking the UK housing market, Tristan recognised an opportunity to combine his expertise with property investment. Between 2022 and 2023, Salty Property Group acquired four two to three-bedroom properties in West Yorkshire, using the "Buy, Refurbish, Refinance" (BRR) strategy to recycle capital efficiently.

In 2024, amid rising interest rates, Tristan deepened his property knowledge and pivoted to Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) to maximise cash flow and long-term value. That year, Salty Property Group completed its first conversion of a three-bedroom property into a six-bedroom, all-ensuite HMO, with two similar projects currently underway.

Today, Salty Property Group focuses on acquiring and holding investment assets for the long term, generating strong returns for investors. The ultimate goal is to build a resilient, high cash-flow portfolio capable of performing in all market conditions. The portfolio is set to surpass £2.1 million by the end of 2025.
